Bonjour

How to install the PC version
Install the PC version of SmartCam from http://sourceforge.net/projects/smartcam
Please install version 1.4.0 or higher of the PC application; the phone application will not work with earlier versions of the PC application. The PC version is available for Microsoft Windows or Linux.
After installation start the PC application and go to File->Settings and select TCP/IP (WiFi) for the connection.
Microsoft Windows: download the installer .exe file and run it on your PC. Follow the installation instructions.
Linux: download the installer .deb file and run it on your PC. Follow the installation instructions.
Please note that you will need to patch and compile the kernel driver of SmartCam depending on the kernel version of your Linux distribution.
How to connect
First of all make sure your computer and your phone are connected to the same WiFi router.
Start the PC application on your computer. Go to File->Settings and select TCP/IP (WiFi) for the connection.
Next find out the IP address or computer name of your computer. In a comand prompt type ipconfig /all and observe the IP address or host name.
Start Webcam on your phone. Go to Menu->Settings and enter your computer name or IP address in the Server address and then press Ok.
Now go to Menu->Connect in the phone application. You should be able to connect to your PC and see your camera phone video on your PC.
Help on settings
The settings screen allows you to change the camera and connection options. Go to Menu->Settings to change these settings and then press Ok to apply your changes.
Please note that the settings can not be changed while the application is connected. If connected, please disconnect the client to be able to access the settings screen.
Camera source - select here which camera to use:
Main camera is the camera on the back of your phone. It provides the best quality and should be present on all Bada phones. Currently the screen is oriented only in landscape mode when selecting the main camera.
Front camera is the camera on the front of your phone. Not all Bada phones have a front camera, in which case this option will be disabled. Currently the screen is oriented only in portrait mode when selecting the front camera.
Camera resolution - select the desired resolution supported by the camera. A higher resolution means better quality but may slow down the transfer speed. The recommended resolution is 320x240 (if supported by the phone). Please note that on PC side, the video stream is scaled to 320x240, so even if you select a higher resolution it will have no effect on 3rd party applications using the webcam.
Camera frame rate - select the desired frame rate (FPS) supported by the camera. A higher FPS means better quality but will consume more battery power. The recommended FPS is 15 (if supported by the phone).
Server address - the host name or IP address of your PC. To find out this address on a Windows PC, open a command prompt and type ipconfig /all. Observe the IP address or host name from the command output.
Server port - the port number of the SmartCam application running on your PC. Please note that the port number must be the same on both the phone aplication and on the PC application.
